Good Food for Scotland

On Wednesday 27th September 7.30pm at Craigsbank Church there will be a discussion on food and food justice led by Olga Bloemen from Nourish Scotland, an organisation working for a fairer, more sustainable food system. We'll explore how we can build a food system in Scotland that takes better care of people and the planet. Olga will highlight how food insecurity, climate change, public health, biodiversity, worker’s rights, animal welfare, access to land and waste, are all related to the food on our plates. The day before this talk will mark the launch of the Good Food Nation Bill, the first piece of framework legislation for our food system, which the Scottish Government will be consulting on this Autumn. This is a good opportunity for Eco-Congregations to get involved, as food matters to us all. We'll also consider what we can do locally on food, in our communities and churches.

Everyone is welcome from 6.15pm for a locally sourced harvest supper. Please let anneicurrie@yahoo.co.uk know how many people you are bringing by Saturday 23rd September.
