Data Protection resources available for churches

Our GDPR Data Protection training evening was well attended and, as promised, we have uploaded some of the available resources to the Presbytery website.
You can access a copy of the presentation from the evening here.
Our website also has a link to the Church of Scotland resources pages, where you can download the checklist and various audit forms mentioned in the presentation.

Finally, click here to access an interesting and informative article from Life and Work on what the new regulations mean to churches.

The Rev. Angus Mathieson has been appointed Secretary of the Misson and Discipleship Council.  He says of his new role:

"I’m passionate about Mission, and Discipleship, and have been ever since living in a Columban Community House in Leith over 35 years ago, then spending nine exciting years in a housing scheme parish in Ayr.  I am excited about taking the Council’s priorities forward, and would welcome the opportunity to engage with Presbyteries – invitations welcome! I worked for the Ministries Council since its inception in 2005, and my free transfer to M&D is proving to be both rewarding and challenging at the same time."
