Our ObjectThe Object of The Boys’ Brigade is: “The advancement of Christ’s kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.” Our MottoThe Boys’ Brigade Motto is: ‘Sure & Steadfast’ The motto is taken from the bible, the book of Hebrews, Chapter 6, Verse 19.

ANCHOR BOYS: Age 5 to Primary 3
Come along to East Craigs Church Centre on a Thursday evening from
6.15 pm to 7.15 pm to have fun at Anchor Boys! If you are five years old up to
Primary Three we'd love to see you.
Each week the Boys work in teams to compete for points and prizes pushing
themselves to win awards at the end of the session - they have a lot of fun
while doing this.The Boys also have themed nights ranging from dinosaurs,
space and superheroes. We enjoy physical challenges and games as well as
craft and cooking. We enjoy listening to bible stories and thinking about others.

JUNIOR SECTION: Primary 4 to 6
Junior Section (like Anchor Boys) happens on a Thursday evening from 6.15 pm
until 7.45 pm and consists of competitive physical, mental and moral activities
and is open to all Boys from primary 4 to 6 and is also held at East Craigs Church
Centre.
Each week the Boys work in teams to compete for points and prizes. They push
themselves to win awards at the end of the session and have a lot of fun while
doing this.The Junior Section Boys also have themed nights ranging from super
heroes, handheld games, pantomimes and pudding night as well as trips out to
the trampoline centre and to water parks.

BACKGROUND TO THE BOYS' BRIGADE

The Boys' Brigade was founded in Glasgow in 1883 by Sir William Alexander
Smith and is proud of its Scottish Heritage.
It is a Christian organisation which cares for and challenges young people for
life through a programme of informal education in a fun way. Each week around
20,000 young people, aged 5 to 18, take part in one of the 450 groups.
All sections take part in a balanced programme of activities which fit the categories below.
