At a service held last night, 10 March 2026, in Corstorphine Old (worship centre for Corstorphine Old and New Parish Church), Elaine Wood was ordained and welcomed by the Presbytery of Edinburgh and Lothian as Deacon and Church Assistant. She is now – officially – Elaine Wood, DCS.
More than 150 attended the service and the reception that followed, including 30 fellow Deacons and Church ministers.
With huge thanks to the Hospitality Team who once again pulled out all the stops to provide a supper for all who attended.
